Silvia Labos is a Romanian fashion design student (at the same University where I study painting) and a good friend of mine. She is actually my boyfriend’s very talented sister. Because I am visiting them in Timisoara, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to try on some of the clothes she designed and sewed for school. I do love them a lot, I think she has a good eye and wish her the best of luck for the future. She worked as a fashion designer for a Romanian brand called Fany Lux for a while, but now she designs for a jeans company. I’m sure she doesn’t use all her creativity at work, therefor more to use for her personal projects.

This top is actually painted, lovely black&white pattern, no? The neck and hemline are out of satin (that felt sooo good on the skin).
It’s self-confidence she lacks because right after I tried these great clothes on, she shoved them right back, deep into her big closet. She actually doesn’t wear her own clothes which is such a shame. I told her I would gladly wear all of them out (I actually did today). Do leave your feedback please, maybe if she sees that I am not the only one thinking she should confidently go on and pursue having her own fashion collection, she’ll take more action.
It feels so great to have designer friends..:) All you unknown designers out there, I wanna be your friend!!! I seriously would wear your clothes no matter how weird they are. Seriously!

What can I say, the first outfit is totally “me”: strapless top, volume-ized skirt = <3. In the second picture the shirt/dress in my own vintage one, it’s the hat she designed out of some rough material. Philip Tracy who?
I am sure you can imagine how much I adored this cropped jacket! The applications on it are handmade and really unique.

I’m still in “awwww” about this “godess” dress. Where’s an important art/fashion event when you need one?

I totally had fun. Too bad she’s not my sister, or else we’d be the next DSquared!
