Last weekend we were invited to Mara’s christening. Mara is Paula’s young daughter, you might remember Paula as I posted a lot of pics in the past with her wearing the bunch of dresses that I made for her in about two years since we know each other. She is also a talented and soon-to-be published writer, that means that the next dress that I will create for her will be for her first book launch. Exciting, right?

Paula is my prototype of a perfect client. The first thing she said to me when we first met a long time ago – I was working at home back them, in my small one room apartment, just starting out – was ‘ Dress me however you want. You are the designer, you make the design, choose the color and fabric. I will gladly wear whatever it is you create.’ I will never forget her amazing attitude and the freedom she always gave me regarding work.

Me and Florina with Paula’s sister and two best friends. We were all wearing dresses that I made. It was such and amazing and rewarding feeling to see so much of my work around me, worn by lovely ladies who were enjoying themselves. I kept staring at each and every dress that I worked on, analyzing how it it moved and how it looked. It was a great and thoughtful experience.

Paula wore the yellow silk V back dress at the church and later on changed in the navy silk corset gown.
