The New Year really seems to have started on a very positive, press-friendly note for me. The new issue of the ‘Ideal Mariaj‘ magazine is out (issue no. 22) and it’s Roxana Radu‘s second ‘baby’ as editor-in-chief at the magazine. The theme of the issue is ‘vintage’ and you can see previews from the mag on R.R., here.

I can’t thank her enough for her constant support of young Romanian designers, me included. What’s funny is that around the same time, last year, Roxana gave me the loveliest of all birthday presents by using one of my dresses (from my first spring 2008 collection) in this ‘Valentine’s Day’ photo shoot, made by Alex Conu. My birthday is, yet again, only a couple of weeks away, so it’s funny how well she seems to synchronize.

Roxana, just like myself, works a lot, puts a ton of passion in her work, she is one of the fairest and most decent human beings I know and I am actually really grateful that I got to know her so well in the last few months. Yes, right now I am expressing the gratitude I feel and am sending lots of love towards her.

Because when feeling appreciated, it’s great to appreciate back.

PS: I don’t usually wear 14 cm high heels when working. It was a special occasion. But I’m sure it did make me more creative.
