The pictures in this post represent the process of creating a theoretically correct painting. The theme was “The Architecture of Nature.Nature’s Architecture“, the first picture represents my initial abstract composition sketch. Then, we had to find a logical and mathematically correct proportion between elements of the composition (picture 3 and 4). Finally, we had to use the bi-dimensional color as we pleased, so that it creates a tree-dimensional space, while being guided by the most important rules in a art composition (relations between dimension, “temperature” of color, proportion and so on; all of them taught by our understanding teacher conf. univ. Dana Acea).

I really like this theme, as it was really logical and interesting to research, from the beginning until the end. I like the painting I did, as it is technically correct, the colors are not “broken” (as in mixed with their complementary pair), but of course it can always get better. I’m not forgetting that the most important thing right now is to learn as much as possible, and not to produce shocking paintings to sell, so I consider myself a winner, even if this painting will probably end up at my parents house and not in some gallery.

Talent needs schooling most of the times. Right?

I love this, it might be my favorite painting of yours. This or the self portrait that was picked for exhibition.
