These are all clothes I made over the weekend, as I wanted to do a photo shoot on Sunday for my future look book. Hopefully that will happen sometime soon, until then, I wanted to post them to get some feed back. Everything that I design and make/sew is basically for me, as in: the idea of the clothes is for them to be comfortable, casual (so I can wear them to school) but still not plain. They must have an interesting detail: lately I’m obsessed with pleats, that’s why most pieces have that gathering of fabric. Most of the fabrics that I used are presents from Ines or my aunt. At this point in my life I have to work with what I’ve got and do not own the luxury of having a to choose the greatest fabrics there are.
Dark-navy dress, fitted at the waist, with pleating detail and attached shoulder “pads”.
Black dress with pockets, a zipper in the front part and attached jersey fabric.
Fitted, black, satin skirt with pleating detail in the front on the left side and in the back.
Cotton white tank top and plaid skirt with pleated detail at the front-bottom, and variable closure at the back to be worn both high and low waisted, or as a dress:
Same black satin skirt and black cropped jacket, with pleating at the back and on the front, closure made with buttons.
Printed bolero with button closure.
Voluminous skirt with pleating detail at the front-bottom, separate belt and green printed bolero.
The same voluminous skirt with pleating detail at the front-bottom, worn as a dress with the closed green printed bolero on top.
I love this silhouette and the fact that the garments are so versatile and work with each other is the most important quality, for me, right now.
