?Most fashion bloggers surely know this fashion editorial by now, from Elle U.S. in the September 07 issue. But for those of you who don’t have the chance to get it, here it is: “Bright Young Things”:

?

Bold colors seem to make a statement recently, in contrast with the grays and blacks that will take over fall’s fashions. Being a painting student, I surely like this trend, as I really adore (and know everything there is about) colors.

?So I had to get inspired and try some “bold” outfits (how could I resist wearing so many colors at once?) with the excuse of it being a trend. As most garments are vintage, I won’t explicitly say that under every picture.

First: My own Chloe dress. Actually mine is a skirt, of course. Maybe if I’d be skinnier, it would look more alike, but hey, it’s because of Chloe that I like orange now. Also, my nude Prada (!!!) pumps (what a great find, no?; I couldn’t believe it myself, as I don’t own any designer things, other than a vintage Chanel wrap dress) work perfectly with my vintage travel bag.

Yellow! Works with green and blue, for a “colder” feel.

Red, Blue and Yellow are not only the colors on Romania’s flag, but also primary colors that work well together, no matter in what combination. Also, as a painting lesson, you can use them with the neutrals: black and white and the mix between them: gray, for a more detailed approach to get the primary colors contrast. I absolutely love those puffy sleeves at the red, vintage blouse. And look how you can use a scarf in two ways (2rox, pic 5, 6), to get two different looks (actually, it’s a yellow skirt in my case).

Red and green is the strongest complementary contrast, when you wear these two colors together, make sure you want to get noticed, as this color combination “excites” the human eye very easily. Also, notice a take on this fall’s “Uni-colored” trend (middle): all garments in the same hue of the same color. Unfortunately I don’t have green shoes, to complete this look. But one girl should have shoes in all possible colors, so I’ll work on that, don’t worry!

Last, but not least, from last fall: two knitted sweater dresses (well, XL sweaters I wore as dresses, whatever) that I surely won’t throw away. Their strong colors (purple and blue) will make me wear them this fall too.? Also, this way I can wear my home-made “Lanvin” cape, not only with cocktail dresses, but with soft, warm sweater-dresses too!

Next time you see something colorful, don’t shy away. Wearing it will surely brighten up your day! [That actually rimes. Lol]

looove the ‘uni=colored’ trend, even with the red sweater, looks great. where din you get those in the same color? great hue. btw, i’m for the ‘colder’ apearence, but i recently ran into these gorgeous orange pants (i Never wear orange) that fit awesome. should i go for them, now with the fall season and all? considering that we live in this country :D (romania, that is)

Go for the pants! make a difference, and wear them confidently! Oh, and orange goes well with gray and black so you won’t have to worry about what to wear them with.

Awesome colour combinationing! I’ve been thinking of ways to combine green and pink lately, but the red and green here look fantabulous too!
And you need to tell us more about what you know about colours:)
