I am flattered to read The Grey’s post over at Six O’Clock Style about me. About me??? Is this for real? I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read her too sweet words, describing my creative work regarding fashion. I am really blushed, even some happy tears emerged while I couldn’t control my emotions…
It is the most amazing feeling you can get when you create something from nothing. You have a piece of fabric that nobody wants/need anymore and do something out of it that you might actually wear in the real world. The creative process is very fun, you never know what you’ll get when you start a new project. I get my ideas everywhere, unintentionally. Interesting things seem to stick in my head and develop afterwards, even if I don’t have theoretical knowledge, such as pattern cutting, for instance.
I just do what I feel/think is best and then put it out there, for you all to see/experience/comment on. The punches [harsh criticism] are not excluded. I do the best I can to take it in a positive way and go on. However, I do get a lot of appreciation and whenever I read those comments (even if they are one word, like “great”) I feel like I am worth something, like I’m able to create something that people might actually like (be it painting, clothing, photography).
I feel less like “the poor girl from Romania (“Is that in Europe?” = typical American question) who studies to be a starving artist and craves after things she know she can’t afford” and more like “the creative girl from Romania, who sees potential in clothing and a way of expression through fashion, and might actually have a chance to make a living out of her passion“.
Yes, The Grey, I will be your own Rachel Zoe, but I won’t pressure you to get skinny, that’s for sure!
THANK YOU, to everybody who takes the time to look at what I enthusiastically create.

I’m glad the post made you happy because you deserve it! It is just my small way of saying thank you for the inspiration I get from you. I read your blog and I see such a different way (from my own) of looking at things, and it inspires me to try to look for the hidden potential of ordinary things as well. And this isn’t just about clothes or fashion, but about anything in life; so I feel like I’ve learned a new way of thinking from you, and this is something I really really appreciate.
And see, as others are agreeing, I’m by far not alone in thinking you’re the talented and creative girl from Romania! (And being from the eastern side of the former Iron Curtain myself, I guess I feel I can relate to you in that aspect as well.
