A while ago I went fabric shopping with my bff Smara; I got about 5m of a nice yellow flower print fabric and because the sales man liked the fact that we were so interested in the fabrics, and excited to be in that huge store [heaven for fashion freaks] he gave me this purple little piece for free. I found it recently stored in a corner somewhere and got inspired.
It all started with me going out wearing it as a halter top with my black leather belt. It just felt so “good girl gone bad” with the pvc pants, meaning it felt good to me. I didn’t even want to iron it or cut the margins to make it nice and straight. I loved the fact that it was wrinkled and not perfect, it felt good because it meant something to me.
Then I thought that there were so many ways I could wear it! For instance, the turban! I know Prada madness blah blah, but to me it has more of a Erykah Badu feeling (hint* big earrings).
My sister cleaned up a closet recently and she found these vintage, high waisted, flare leg jeans. I wasn’t sure if they would fit me, but I guess I got back into the shape I was in at 18. Yey.
Wrap dress. The scarfs will be big this fall. Vintage pumps and clutch.
I love wrinkles (the texture) and it’s not because I’m too lazy to iron it.
There are so many ways to wear a random piece of fabric. As always, the most important accessory: confidence!

I think the “good girl gone bad” is too much because the pants are shiny and the top is so colourful. The turban look is the best in my opinion!
